How We Met

We think Thelma is Mama Louise’s sister. “Two Girls on the Run” is a story on my personal blog that gives all the details. Thelma is outgoing with wild, 80s hair. We first met her in our yard when she posed as her sister to get into our hearts. After Louise’s kittens were born, she doted on them as if she were their mother. I never knew that cat aunts were so attentive. Thelma has permanent damage to her facial nerve from an untreated, massive ear mite infestation. She cannot close her right eye entirely, but it doesn’t seem to slow her down. She suffers from chronic ear infections (mostly yeast), but she is a champ, hardly ever showing irritation. Thelma loves attention and willingly gets on your lap. As with all our cats, she loves some belly rubs.
